Obituary

Ralph E. Napper, age 87, of Wellston, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio.  He was born March 14, 1937 in Hamden, Ohio, son of the late Edward E. Napper and Thelma L. Matthews Napper.  Ralph was a retired bricklayer and member of the Bricklayers Union Local #1089.  He was a jack of all trades, master of none who enjoyed drag racing, dabbling in dirt track racing, attending car shows, and eating at Bob Evans.  He attended both Grace Baptist Fellowship and Freedom Chapel.  Ralph is survived by his children, Jon E. Napper (Margaret) of West Palm Beach, Florida and Lisa D. Spangler (Steve) of Jackson; grandsons, Derek Gregory Oliver and Brandon Michael Oliver and special granddaughter, Stephanie; brothers, James Napper, Maurice Napper (Addie), and Ray Napper, along with several nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy Walters Napper in 2004; son, Gregory Allen Napper; and sister, Wanda McLain.  Calling hours will be Sunday, October 13th, from 12 to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m. and burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
