Randy J. Jarvis, age 74, of McArthur, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at his home.  He was born March 3, 1950 in Wellston, Ohio, son of the late Brice S. Jarvis and Betty J. Nichols Jarvis.  Following 31 years of employment, Randy retired from the City of Wellston where he served as the sexton at Ridgewood Cemetery for several of those years.  Randy enjoyed watching Western shows and wrestling on T.V., running his beagle dogs whom he loved dearly, and having conversations with his family and friends.  He is survived by his children, Marsha Boyer, Kathryn Long (Tom), and Travis Jarvis (Kristina); grandchildren, Brooklyn, Bailey, Bryce, Geri, and McKenna; brother, Steve Jarvis (Rita); sisters, Sherry Ranta (Ed) and Cindy Akers (Dave); along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Besides his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Ann Gregory Jarvis; brother, Ronnie Jarvis; and sister, Judy Sowers.  In keeping with Randy's wishes, cremation followed his passing.  Private graveside services will be held for the family in Ridgewood Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.
