Raymond D. McGuire, age 69, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio.  He was born May 26, 1955 in Marion, Ohio, son of the late Arthur D. McGuire and Edwina I. Ames McGuire.  Raymond retired from America's Floor Source.  He was a talented artist and musician who enjoyed painting and playing the guitar and drums.  Raymond was also an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals.  He attended Grace Baptist Fellowship in Wellston and the Wellston Senior Citizens, where he loved playing chair volleyball.  Raymond is survived by his wife of 51 years, Peggy L. Ferrell McGuire; children, Raymond McGuire, Jr., Clifford McGuire, Kelly McGuire (Peter Whitehouse), Keith McGuire, Sarah Slone (Robert), and Timothy McGuire (Samantha); siblings, Ronnie Ames, Arlene Gatzke (Benjamin), Roger McGuire (Herma), Rick McGuire (Debbie), along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Judy Caldwell and Shelly Robinson.  Calling hours will be Saturday, January 18th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor Tim Jones officiating.  Burial will be in the Byer Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
