Rex Anthony McClure, age 60, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.  He was born December 31, 1960 in Chillicothe, Ohio, son of the late Raymond Duane McClure and Judith Hope Nixon McClure.  Rex attended Vinton County High School and was the owner and operator of McClure Trucking.  Rex was a generous person who loved helping others.  He enjoyed being outdoors, camping and hunting, and was very good at water skiing.  Rex is survived by his children, Joshua McClure (Jamie) and Shannon Hill (Damon); grandchildren, Deacon, Dalyah, Damon Lee, Elizabeth, Rob (Miranda) and Gavin; siblings, Trent McClure (Ladonna), Shawna Smith (Randy), Chris McClure (Melissa) and Shane McClure (Tina); along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Regina McClure; and sister, Tonya Downard.  Calling hours will be Saturday, November 13th, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  A Celebration of Life service will follow the calling hours at 7 p.m. with Bart Ankrom officiating.  In keeping with Rex's wishes, cremation will follow the service.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
