Reymundo "Rey" Pena, age 67, of McArthur, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025, at his home.  He was born January 6, 1958 in Brownsville, Texas, son of the late Rodolfo Pena, Sr. and Juanita Diaz Pena.  Following 45 years of employment, Rey retired from American Electric Power RSO Division where he was employed as a welder and supervisor.  Rey loved everything outdoors including fishing, hunting, and sitting on the deck at his home enjoying the views.  He was a self-made mechanic and was often referred to as "Mr. Fix It".  Rey was a Michigan Wolverine and Dallas Cowboys fan, as well as a huge supporter and fan of the Vinton County High School football team.  Most of all, Rey loved spending time at their oceanfront house at Oak Island, North Carolina.  He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Tammy K. Maynard Pena; daughters, Melissa Pena, Monica Pena, Nina Pena (Brooks), and Jena Rey Pena; grandchildren, Braylon Damron, Kendall Rey Damron, and Kayden Gallis; siblings, Rodolfo "Rudy" Pena (Margo), Rene Pena (Imelda), Jamie Pena (Melissa), and Melly McNeal (Kim); along with several nieces and nephews including, Brandon McNeal, Breanna Peterson, Elizabeth Maynard, Christopher Maynard, Michelle Blackwell, Rocky Pena, Isabella Pena, Carlos Pena, and Little Rudy.  Calling hours will be Tuesday, October 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  A Celebration of Life service will follow the calling hours at 7 p.m. with Pastor John Pelletier officiating.  In keeping with Rey's wishes, cremation will follow the service.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
