Rita Sue (Fee) Ward, age 67, of McArthur, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023. She was born February 3, 1956 in McArthur, Ohio to the late Edward Eugene "Gene" Fee and Edna Faye Sims Fee. Rita was a 1974 graduate of Vinton County High School. In 1975, she married her late husband Stephen Michael (Mike) Ward. For the majority of Rita's career, she worked as a clerk; first for the Vinton County Board of Elections, and then in Vinton County Court.  Rita retired in 2021.  She attended both the McArthur and Jackson Church of the Nazarene. Rita enjoyed puzzles and cooking in the kitchen where she would often try new recipes.  Rita also enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandsons. She was her grandson's biggest fan, as she wanted to attend all of their sports games and activities.  Rita is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Todd) Barlow; son, Michael Paul (Mandy) Ward; grandsons, Max Lee Ward and Luke Michael Ward; brothers, Keith (Mary) Fee, Kim (Sarah) Fee, and Mark (Barbi) Owsley; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Rita was also preceded in death by her siblings; Gary, Eric, and Penny Fee; sister-in-law Dee Fee, and niece Kimberly Nichols. Calling hours will be Wednesday, November 15th, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 12pm with Pastor Todd Barlow and Pastor Mark Erskine officiating.  Rita will be laid to rest in Elk Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please give contributions in Rita's memory to the McArthur or Jackson Church of the Nazarene or to Hospice of Central Ohio.
