Robert Stewart "Skip" Rhodes, age 82, of Waverly, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024, at his home.  He was born April 15, 1942 in Flint, Michigan, son of the late Millard Rhodes and Margaret Stewart Rhodes.  Skip, as he was known by many, was a veteran of the United States Navy and in years past was a welder by trade.  In his spare time, Skip loved to golf, and in his younger years, drive race cars.  He was a member of the Moose Lodge and Eagles Lodge, both in Waverly.  Skip is survived by his children, Jason Frost and Lisa Marie Rhodes; sisters, Margaret Deck, Charlene Rhodes, and Amy Adkins (Zane); along with 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Rhodes; brothers, Tom Rhodes, Harry Edward Rhodes, and Alfred W. Rhodes; nephew, Joey Rhodes, and niece, Melissa Norman.  In keeping with Skip's wishes, there will be no services, and private burial will be in the Coalton Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
