Robin Irene Johnston, age 57, of McArthur, passed away Thursday morning, October 12, 2023, at Maple Hills Nursing Facility in McArthur.  She was born June 2, 1966 in Chillicothe, Ohio, daughter of the late Clarence J. Ousley and Reva K. "Kitty" Taylor Ousley.  Robin was a 1984 graduate of Vinton County High School, and later received a nursing degree from the Hocking School of Nursing.  For 22 years, Robin was a Registered Nurse, having worked in the labor and delivery department at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens for most of those years.  Throughout that time, she delivered many Vinton County babies.  Her caring and lovable personality made it obvious that nursing was her true calling.  Robin was also a very giving person; whatever someone needed, she would provide.  She was an avid doll collector who also enjoyed Bingo, reading, and playing games on the computer.  Robin was very family-oriented and always looked forward to and enjoyed family gatherings.  She is survived by her daughter, Hannah Johnston (Dustin Whaley) of Jackson; grandchildren, Braxton, Ellie, Kinsley, Kaisen, and Karter; brother, Charles "Chuck" Ousley (Wanda) of McArthur; sisters, Cathy Scarberry (Greg) of McArthur, and Michelle "Missi" Pittman of Jackson; aunt, Veronika "Phony" Taylor of McArthur; uncle, Frank Taylor of Wilkesville; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Besides her parents, Robin was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Johnston; and her son, Michael Johnston.  In keeping with Robin's wishes, cremation followed her passing.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in Robin's memory be given to: Huntington's Disease Society of America, 505 Eighth Avenue, Suite 902, New York, New York 10018.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
