Glenn Roger Beatty, age 88, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Four Winds Community in Jackson.  He was born May 27, 1934 in Cove, Ohio to the late Ira T. Beatty and Alice M. Hunter Beatty.  Roger was a 1952 graduate of Jackson High School, as well as a graduate of Portsmouth Interstate Business College and Wisconsin School of Banking.  He was a veteran of the United States Army who served 2 years in Germany.  Roger was in the banking industry for 59 years and was a member of the National Association Board of Auditors and Comptrollers.  He was employed with The Milton Banking Company in Wellston for 47 years and served as their bank President or Chairman of the Board for 30 years of that time.  Roger served as the first President of the Wellston Area Chamber of Commerce; was past President of the Ohio Kentucky Chapter of Bankers Administration Institute; and was a former member of the Order of the Odd Fellows.  He is survived by son, Mark M. Beatty of Wellston; daughter, Alicia A. Beatty of Wellston; granddaughter, Gwendolyn V. Beatty Howison (Tom) of Jackson; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Besides his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his son, Scott Beatty; sisters, Bernice, Marjorie, Marcella and Arlene; and brothers, John, Gene, Dwight, Ronald, Donald, Edgar and Bernard.  Calling hours will be Saturday, December 10th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor John Pelletier officiating.  Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com .
