Roger Dean Stapleton, age 73, of Jackson, passed away Monday, March 9, 2026, at his home.  He was born February 21, 1953 in Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia to the late Oscar Stapleton and Alberta Koontz Stapleton.  Roger retired from Southern Ohio Coal Company, where he was employed for several years.  Presently, he was employed part-time with the Jackson County Senior Citizens.  Roger was an old car enthusiast and member of the Appalachia Old Car Club.  Along with his love for old cars, he also enjoyed being out on the road riding his motorcycle.  Roger loved the Lord and his brothers and sisters in Christ.  He attended Father's House and Winchester Church whenever possible.  Roger is survived by his wife of 50 years, Debra E. Walters Stapleton; 3 sons, Jamie (Rosie), Shaun (Stephanie) and Nate (Jen); 12 grandchildren, Melissa (Corbin), Jordan (Sarah), Morgan (Alyssa), Jase (Kelli), Keegan, Keiara, Ryan, Braydon, Natalie, Zeke, Lacy (Thomas) and Madison; 7 great-grandchildren, Barrett, Weston, Riley, Bennett, Charleigh, Jack, Casey and Baby Girl due in August; brother, Danny Stapleton; sister, Geri (Gene) Cline; and his little diva fur-baby, Gracie Lee.  In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 5 sisters.
