Ronald Keith Brown, Jr., age 84, of Wellston, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio.  He was born October 21, 1940 in Coalton, Ohio to the late Harry Ronald Brown and Mary Watters Brown.  Ron was the former owner and operator of Brown Trucking for many years.  He was always a hardworking man, but in his spare time he enjoyed watching NASCAR races.  Above all, Ron was a "Dad" to everyone in the family and enjoyed spending time with them.  Ron is survived by his children, Cheryl Annette Maynard, Ronale Cook (Tony), Keith Allen Brown, Mark Edwin Brown, and Gary Lee Brown; sister, Sharon Goheen, along with 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Patty Carolyn Brown in 2022; grandchildren, Amanda Dwan Brown Cartee and Gary Lee Brown, Jr.; and brothers, Harry David Brown and Billy Joe Brown.  Calling hours will be Monday, July 21, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m. with Pastor Tim Jones officiating.  Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions be given to the funeral home to help with expenses.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
