Ronald A. "Ronnie" Campbell, age 85, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. He was born June 29, 1936 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Rex L. Campbell and Louise Tripp Campbell. Ronnie graduated from Wellston High School with the class of 1954. He was a former employee of McNally Pittsburg Manufacturing for 33 years and later retired from Frick-Gallagher Manufacturing. Ronnie was a member of Grace Baptist Fellowship where he loved singing in the church choir. Over the years he was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing, attending Wellston Golden Rocket football games and cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds. Ronnie is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rita G. Faught Campbell; children, Cindy Waters, Jackie Johnston (Bob) and Mike Campbell (Teresa); son-in-law, Berie Miller; along with 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great- grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by daughters, Rita Ann Holstein and Ronda Miller; son-in-law, Freddie Waters; and infant brother, Charles Campbell. Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 27th, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with his grandson, Pastor Tim Jones officiating. In keeping with Ronnie's wishes, cremation will follow the service and burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
