Ruth Ann Maynard, age 79, of Hamden, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021, at her home.  She was born December 7, 1941 in Williamson, West Virginia to the late Dewey and Lillian Atwell.  Along with being a housewife, Ruth was also the sweetest wife and mother.  She is survived by her children, David Johnson, Lorie Johnson, Thomas Johnson and Darlene New; brother, Ernest Atwell; sisters, Ruby Chaffin and Margaret Atwell; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Johnson; second husband, Garr Maynard; son, Joseph Johnson; daughter, Joyce Johnson; as well as several brothers and sisters.  In keeping with Ruth's wishes, her body was cremated and burial will be at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
