Ruth Robinette Phillips, age 93, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Edgewood Manor of Wellston.  She was born October 20, 1930 in Ashland, Kentucky, daughter of the late Lawson and Lucille Crain Robinette.  Ruth spent her formative years in The Kentucky Children's Home in Louisville, Kentucky.  In 1946 she moved to Wellston where she met and married her husband of 27 years Raymond Edward Phillips, Sr. in 1948.  Ruth is survived by her children, Ray Phillips (Tracy), Deb Patrick (Rick), Chuck Phillips (Colleen), and Larry Phillips (Michelle); grandchildren, Leslie Phillips, Brandon Phillips, Stephen Wastier (Janet), Jennifer White (CJ), Matt Phillips (Aaliyah), Mitch Phillips (Courtni), and Tiffany Holdren (David); great-grandchildren, Olivia, Lillian and Zac Wastier, James and Rynley White, Elizabeth Erwin, Jake Holdren and Athena Phillips; and sister, Virgie Cordle. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, in 1975; her sister, Shirley; and brothers John, Paul, George and Bennie.  Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 9th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jon Black officiating.  Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
