On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, the Heavens opened and Sadie Faye Stapleton Barney, age 84, of McArthur, went home to be with her Lord and Savior.  She was born July 5, 1939 in McArthur, Ohio, daughter of the late Ralph William Parry and Mallie Ousley Parry.  Sadie retired from Lake Hope State Park, where she was employed as a custodian.  She loved reading her Bible, and in her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and working outside in her flower gardens as long as her health permitted.  Sadie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Mary Stapleton of McArthur; sister, Linda Carter of McArthur; brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Barbara Parry of Pampa, Texas; grandchildren, Jettie Huntley (Steven) and Bart Barnett (Suzie), along with several great and great-great grandchildren; nieces, Kathy Gray (Jim), Cindy Wilt, Becky Wilt, Missi Coleman (Rick), Barbi Brooks, and Alicia Ingram (Chuck); nephew, Jim Parry (Dena), as well as several great and great-great nieces and nephews including Mallie Hanson and George Freeman whom called her Granny.  Besides her parents, Sadie was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her sons, Garfield "Jr." Stapleton; second husband, Ernest "Ernie" Barney; son, James "Jim" Stapleton; sister-in-law, Karen Parry; and brother-in-law, Steve Carter.  Calling hours will be Saturday, May 25th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Rev.
