Sharon M. Thacker, age 80, of Wilkesville, passed away to her heavenly home on Thursday, February 6, 2025, surrounded by her family and the love of her life, her husband, George. She was born January 19, 1945 in Lancaster, Ohio, daughter of the late Luther W. Heskett and Florence E. Scott Heskett. Sharon was a 1963 graduate of Berne Union High School in Sugar Grove, Ohio. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who exhibited her strong Christian faith in her everyday life. Sharon was a wonderful cook and loved being outdoors working in her flowers and inside decorating her house. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, George A. Thacker, whom she married on March 7, 1965; daughters, Faith E. Thacker, Crystal L. Knox (Kevin), and April D. Sanders (Bill); grandchildren, Kayla Hays (Ralph), Kenneth Knox, and Holly Young (Bric); great-grandchildren, Carlee, Della, Lila, Rhett, and Natalee; siblings, Helen Wolfe, Rev. Steven Heskett, and Doris Wolfe, along with several nieces and nephews. Sharon's family would like to give a special thanks to her hospice nurse and aide, Sondra Mitchell and Elizabeth "Bebe" Wilson for their excellent care. Calling hours will be Monday, February 10th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 11th, at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Kincaid officiating. Burial will follow in the Curry Cemetery.
