Sherri Jo Massie

  Sherri Jo Massie, age 57, of Jackson, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at her home. She was born October 14, 1968 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Gary Lee Massie Sr. and Rena Grace Coon Massie. Sherri graduated from Wellston High School with the class of 1988. She was a caretaker who loved helping her family; her kids were her world. Sherri’s love and care even extended to her cats and her grand-dog Max. Sherri is survived by her mother, Rena Massie; son, Joshua Tyler Williams and her daughter Trinity Renee Gilliland; siblings, Gary “Rocky” Massie Jr., Charles “Rusty” Massie, Susan Champion, Randy Massie and Tina Massie Inks; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including special aunt and uncle, Kathy and Tom Parsons and special niece, Taylor Alexis Inks. Along with her father, Sherri was preceded in death by special niece, Tara Renee Harper. In keeping with Sherri’s wishes, cremation followed her passing and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
