Shirley R. Norton, age 87, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Edgewood Manor in Wellston.  She was born February18, 1937 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Adam Floyd Faught and Ruth Jane Erwin Faught.  Shirley was a 1955 graduate of Wellston High School.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.  Shirley was an accomplished artist who enjoyed painting, quilting, making crafts and spending time with her family.  For over 20 years, Shirley and her husband, Clyde, spent the winter months at their home in Brooksville, Florida.  She was a member of the Wellston Church of the Nazarene and the Red Hat Society.  Shirley is survived by her children, Terry A. Norton (Debbie) of Wellston, Sherry A. Norton Headley (Ron) of Jackson, and Wanda L. Norton MacClinchy (Scott) of Bidwell; along with 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Clyde E. Norton in 2019; son, Michael E. Norton; grandson, Jeremy E. Davis; brothers, Gaylord Knodell, Thomas Faught, and Glenn Faught; and sister, Dorothy Dillow.  Calling hours will be Monday, March 4th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jim Griffith officiating.  Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
