Sue Burnette, age 87, of Vinton, passed away Monday, August 12, 2024, at her home.  She was born October 6, 1936 in Dehue, West Virginia, daughter of the late Jay Hall, Sr. and Earthel Adkins Hall.  Sue was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and took pride in being an avid golfer.  She is survived by her daughter, Billi "BJ" Ervin; grandchildren, Justin Ervin (Erica) and Courtney Ervin (Aaron Ward); great-grandchildren, Zane Ervin, AJ Ervin, and Henley Ward; great-great-granddaughter, Emrea Ervin; siblings, Lois Flynn, Pete Hall (Sharon), Sandra Neal (Richard), Wanda Tyo (Lance), Jeanee Steier, Christina Wilking (Gary), and Cathy Maguire (Max); sisters-in-law, Marlene Hall and Linda Hall; as well as several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Burnette; and brothers and sisters, Jay Hall, Jr., James "Buck" Hall, Jerry J. Hall, Patty Lou Eggleton, and Phyllis Juanita Stewart.  In keeping with Sue's wishes, cremation followed her passing.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 24th, at 1 p.m. at the Cheshire Baptist Church, 8057 St. Rt. 7 North, Cheshire, Ohio 45620.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
