Susan A. "Sue" Covin, age 62, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Four Winds Community.  She was born May 14, 1961 in Wellston, Ohio, daughter of the late Pearl Canter and Betty L. Cartwright Canter.  Sue was a 1980 graduate of Wellston High School and a former employee of Campbell's Mushroom Farm, Mills Pride, and General Mills.  She enjoyed reading, especially her Bible, solving word puzzles, and tending to her gardens.  Sue is survived by her daughters, Miranda Canter and Kira Kanouse (Ryan); granddaughter, Lucina; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Gary Tilley; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Covin; and brothers, George "Mike" Buckley, John Canter, and James "Jay" Canter.  In keeping with Sue's wishes, cremation followed her passing.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date with burial in Salem Cemetery at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions be given to the funeral home to help with expenses.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
