April 25, 1958 – June 17, 2025
Terry Dean Harper, age 67, of Hamden, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was born April 25, 1958 in Wellston, Ohio, son of the late Lee W. Harper and Dorothy M. Gibson Harper. Terry retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Jackson, where he was employed for 29 years. Following retirement, he worked as a home health aide. Terry loved bluegrass music and enjoyed playing his banjo, guitar, and fiddle, as well as singing karaoke. In his spare time, he also enjoyed fishing and bowling. Above all, Terry enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Terry was a member of Black Diamond Lodge #538 F&AM and attended World Outreach Ministries. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Linda S. Williams Harper; children, Tonya Wilkes and Brent Harper (Elizabeth); step-children, Amanda Southworth (Mike) and Patricia Horsley; sister, Hazel Rowland; along with 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his daughter, Tara Harper; brother, Dwayne Harper; and sisters, Linda Webb and Thelma Darling. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, June 20th, at 6 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston with Walter "Bub" Norris officiating. Family and friends may call 1 hour prior to the service, with a masonic service by Black Diamond Lodge #538 beginning at 5:45 p.m. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
