Thelma Mae (Walker) Case, age 89, of McArthur, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones.  She was born May 14, 1933 in Vinton County, Ohio, daughter of the late Oshal A. "Short" Walker and Geneva Dail (Barnett) Walker.  Mae was married to the late Berlin Case on April 9, 1949, and they were married for 44 years.  She was also preceded in death by a special friend, Burman Stewart, and 2 brothers, Don Hill and Willard Hill.  Mae is survived by 2 children, Sharon Kay (Dean) Nickels and Berlin Dale "Bud" (Christine) Case; 8 grandchildren, Sethanie (Brian) Elliott, Clint (Jody) Dickinson, Tami (Darin) Collins, Craig (Amanda) Case, Eric (Cindy) Case, Corey (Christine) Nickels, Ashley Scott, and Mark (Brittany) Vogt, along with 16 great grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren, and her beloved Pomeranians, Molly and Baby.  She is also survived by her brother, Wilmer (Audrey) Hill.  Mae drove school bus for the Vinton County School district for 24 years before retiring.  She was known by all her bus kids as "Grandma Mae".  Mae was a member of the Wellston American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, McArthur Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, and a lifetime member of the Wellston V.F.W. Auxiliary.  Calling hours will be Tuesday, June 28 ^th , from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 29 ^th , at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow in the Randerson Cemetery.  A celebration of life dinner will follow the burial at the Vinton County Fairgrounds.
