Thelma Juanita Conley Lockhart, age 94, of Wellston, went to her new home with her Lord and Savior on Friday morning, May 1, 2026, while surrounded by loved ones. She was born January 23, 1932 in Jackson County, Ohio to the late Sanford Knox and Lula Manring Knox. Juanita was a devout Christian who served the Lord in all that she did, whether it was through singing karaoke at local nursing homes, tending to God’s creation in her flower gardens, or caring for others, especially her son, Kenny. Always willing to share her faith, Juanita never knew a stranger and enjoyed good conversation. She attended Coalton Freewill Baptist Church and loved visiting other churches, especially during revivals. For many years, Juanita was a member and avid supporter of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 371. She is survived by her children, Bruce Conley (Charlotte), Debbie Yates (Dave), Marty Conley (Ivy), and Kenny Lockhart; step-children, Danny Lockhart, John Lockhart, and Ron Lockhart; grandchildren, devoted caregiver, Tracy McComas (Cody), Ian Conley (Silke), Susan Conley, Jillian Conley, Brady Conley, and Bob Manring; great-grandchildren, Blake Royster, Emilee Conley, Aricka Fisher, Brian Conley, Kilian Conley, and Barett Tegenkamp, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her step-mother, Irene Knox; husband, William E. “Buck” Lockhart in 1990; infant son, Randall Wayne Conley; son, Jerry Conley; brothers, Luther Knox, Sanford Knox, Jr., and Donald Knox; sister, Ruth Boster; and step-sister, Viola Cozad. Calling hours will be Sunday, May 3, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Monday, May 4, at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Ervin officiating. Burial will follow in the Byer Cemetery.
