Tom Mace, age 56, of McArthur, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at his home.  He was born February 11, 1966 in Chillicothe, Ohio, son of the late Danny Eugene Mace and Pearl Marie Ousley.  Tom was a 1985 graduate of Vinton County High School.  He was employed for over 32 years by the State of Ohio Department of Natural Resources as the maintenance supervisor at Lake Hope State Park.  Tom was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting of all types, especially turkey and deer, and squirrel hunting with his side kick, Carley.  He also enjoyed traveling, family reunions, going to Lake Erie, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  Tom is survived by his wife, Judy Marie Perry Mace; children, Johnathan Mace, Haley Harper and Heath Harper (Brittany); grandchildren, Makenlee Harper, Blake Carpenter, Morgan Riley, Preston Riley and Augustus Harper; brother, Jim Mace (Karla); sisters, Sherry Perry and Christie Pierce (Joe); along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including his fishing buddy and cousin, Bert Ousley, Jr.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Virgil Ray Ousley; and sister, Nancy Morris.  Calling hours will be Saturday, December 31st, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Jesse Reynolds officiating.  Burial will be in the Elk Cemetery in McArthur.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
