Thomas H. "Tom" O'Harra, of McArthur, took his last journey peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at home with his family by his side.  Son of the late John Henry "Buck" O'Harra and Annas Marie Wine O'Harra, Tom was born in McArthur, where he graduated from Vinton County High School.  Tom had a love of music.  He couldn't read a musical note but was able to listen to a song and then play it by ear on instruments of all kinds.  Tom also had a love of the outdoors.  He enjoyed the woods and being around timber.  He started at a young age cutting timber with his dad and went on to sawing timber for over 50 years.  Family was important to Tom.  He loved being a jokester with everyone, and most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Tom was a member of Delta Masonic Lodge #207 in McArthur.  He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sylvia O'Harra, and their 4 children, Tonya (Les) Winnett, Tassie (George) Brown, Thomas J. O'Harra, and Tangala Smith; along with 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, 1 brother, and very special friends, Bob Glandon, Dave McCunn and Brad McCunn, and very special caregivers, Amanda, Kim and Betty.  Calling hours will be Sunday, October 30 ^th , from 1p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  A Masonic service will follow the calling hours at 2:30 p.m. by Delta Lodge #207.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in Tom's memory be given to ProMedica Hospice, 120 Twin Oaks Drive, Unit B, Jackson, Ohio 45640.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
