Wanda L. McDonald, age 86, of Wellston, left this world on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, from the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio, with her husband, Gene, by her side.  She was born to Oakey and Faith (Staten) Barnhouse on July 19, 1935 in Dover Township, Ohio.  Wanda grew up in Chauncey, Ohio where she attended school, graduating with the class of 1953.  She was a housewife and homemaker, and was loved by her family and those close to her.  Wanda is survived by her loving husband, Gene E. McDonald; daughter, Lee Anne Palmer of Chillicothe; son, James (Jamey) Tilley of Florida; sisters, Marlene Kisor of Wellston and Darla Barnhouse of Jackson; step-sons, John McDonald of Florida, Jean McDonald of California and Joseph McDonald of France; grandchildren, Larissa Palmer and Brandon Palmer of Chillicothe; step-grandson, Louis McDonald of France; along with many nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her sisters, Audry (Richard) Valentine and Linda (James) Wilbur.  In keeping with Wanda's wishes, her body was cremated.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston,  online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
