Wanda Marie McLain, age 81, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Edgewood Manor Nursing Facility in Wellston.  She was born December 3, 1941 in Hamden, Ohio, daughter of the late Edward E. Napper and Thelma L. Matthews Napper.  Wanda was a 1959 graduate of Hamden High School. She retired in 1996 as a union representative for UFCW Local #1059 (United Food and Commercial Workers).  Wanda's outgoing and funny personality was enjoyed by all who knew her.  She enjoyed talking to everyone and never met a stranger.  Wanda also enjoyed playing Bingo, going shopping, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She is survived by her daughter, Angela Israel; grandchildren, Chantel Holsinger, J.C. Black, and Corey McLain (April); great-grandchildren, Baisley Barstow, Rigden Holsinger, and Hunner Black; brothers, Jim Napper and Ralph Napper; half-brothers, Maurice Napper (Addie) and Raymond Napper; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jean and Gary Mercer; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including special niece, Lisa Napper Spangler.  Besides her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Cecil McLain on April 20, 2023; and her son, Scott Alan McLain on January 29, 2022.  Calling hours will be Tuesday, June 13th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 14th, at 1p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor John Pelletier officiating.  Burial will be in the Hamden Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
