Waneta A. Crego, age 57, of Wellston, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio.  She was born April 3, 1964 in Chillicothe, Ohio, daughter of the late Archie Gillman and Sarah Mae Darst Gillman.  Waneta was a former cook at Lee's Steakhouse in Wellston for over 20 years, and was recently working as a home health aide.  Waneta was a sweet and kind-hearted person who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Dwight A. Crego; children, Jodi Zimmerman (Andrew), Jenni Sheets (Jeremy) and Cain Crego (Laura); grandchildren, Andrew, Alayna, Noah and MariAnn; sister, Kathy Gillman; along with several close friends.  Besides her parents, Waneta was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill Gillman and Joe Gillman.  Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 12th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor John Pelletier officiating.  Burial will be in the Hill Cemetery in Centerville.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
