Zachary L. Fisher, age 34, of Jackson, and a longtime resident of Wellston, passed away unexpectedly on his way to do what he loved doing…logging, on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 in Hurricane, West Virginia.  He was a longtime employee of L & L Excavating & Landclearing in Oak Hill.  Zach was born November 28, 1989 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Ronald M. Fisher and Stephanie J. McKenzie Fisher.  He was a 2008 graduate of Wellston High School where he excelled in all sports, with baseball being his pride and joy.  Zach was an outdoorsman who enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, and of course, logging.  He was an avid sports fan of all types but enjoyed cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes.  Most of all, Zach cherished the times spent with his family, especially his kids and nephew.  He is survived by his wife, Kala L. Parker Fisher; children, Ashton, Bryson, Hunter, Bentley, Landon, Gunner, Treyson, and Gannon; father, Ronnie Fisher; sister and brother-in-law, Jessica and Justin Sheets; nephew, Montgomery Sheets; grandmothers, Sandy Channell and Donna Hunter; mother-in-law, Debbie Shover, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Stephanie Fisher; grandparents, Ronnie Fisher, Claudia Wood, and Steven McKenzie, and great-grandparents, Max and Jean Matteson.  Calling hours will be Monday, November 18th, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dave Collins officiating.  Burial will be in the Byer Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
